She was the leader of the 2012 "Fierce Five" and the in 2016 the "Final Five,"" U.S. women’s Olympic gymnastics team. She was awarded a gold team medal during the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Gabby Douglas and Raisman are the only Americans who have won back-to-back gold medals at this event. Raisman was awarded silver medals in the all-around individual and floor exercise. Raisman also took home silver medals for the individual all-around as well as for floor exercise. She also is two-time national champion in floor exercises (2012 and 2015) as well as the 2012 champion of the national championship in balance beam.
